Freakonomics was originally marketed very much as an intellectual book. It had a very subtle and muted cover and the reviews talked about how it made you think. Now it looks like a story about the case studies it presents rather than as a new way of looking at economics.
To be fair, this new approach probably comes closer to what the book actually was. Just still a shock to see such a change in the image of the book.
